Lorinda Thompson

Endeavour Hills Centre Director

Hi my name is Lorinda Thompson and I am the Centre Director at FiRST Early Learning, Endeavour Hills.

I started my career 14 years ago, running my own Family Day Care while my own 3 children were very young. I also enjoyed a role as a swim teacher before joining FiRST Early Learning, where I taught children aged 3 months – Primary school age. I feel extremely lucky to have worked for FiRST for the past 7 + years, where I have had the opportunity to move through different roles such as baby room leader to 2IC and now Centre Director.

Over the years it has been my goal to give the highest quality of care for our children and help parents feel like they are part of our family, to me FiRST is a home away from home for all.

Our centre is Reggio Emilio inspired, encouraging children to explore their own learning. We provide a strong curriculum and a happy environment where the children can learn, explore, and feel safe.

As a Centre Director my passion is to continue to provide that warm family feeling, to have strong relationships with our parents and their children and the amazing group of loving educators that we have here at our Endeavour Hills Childcare Centre.

I look forward to meeting more families in the community in the future!

We provide early learning & care to these groups:

Nursery Childcare
Nursery 0-2 Years
Toddler 2-4 Years
Kindergarten 3-6 Years

Our Centre

Our childcare centre has 5 class’s consisting of 1 nursery, 2 toddler rooms, 1 Pre-Kinder and 1 Kinder class. The centre was originally a local milk bar and was transformed into an early learning centre.

First early learning took over the centre in 2011 adding their own touches and philosophy whilst supplying quality care to the children in the community.

The centre has capacity for 70 children per day and offers multiple outdoor gardens available for use purpose lead indoor and outdoor curriculums, focusing on natural surroundings, sensory and environment.
