Our Philosophy

This philosophy statement has been developed by the owners, educators and families at FiRST Early Learning centres.

These ideas form the guiding principles for our team.

About children being children

We work with families to guide our First Early Learners to be confident and enthusiastic children excited about their future and learning journey.

Mission and Vision

To have happy children, families and staff that celebrate diversity, and enjoy being at FiRST Early Learning and recognised as a leading provider of early education.

Team

Our team of experienced and qualified teachers offer a ‘home away from home’ environment. Having caring and loving relationships with children is our top priority.

Families

We pride ourselves on the collaborative, respectful and strong partnerships we have with families.

Children

Our programs are inspired by our experienced teachers, the strengths and interests of our children, and parent input. We combine play-based learning, with time for structured curriculum based on the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF). This is incorporated into our flexible routines, which promote self-esteem, confidence, independence, knowledge and self-care.

We respect the family as the primary caregivers of the child and will strive to compliment and support their care-giving role in our daily interactions.

We acknowledge the value of diversity that children and their families bring to the centre and encourage families to share information about their children and culture.
